Both the original Big Boss and the new Big Boss II reloading presses have all the desirable features of the “Boss” reloading press, but are built on heavier frames with a larger ram and longer usable ram stroke for reloading the largest magnum cartridges.
- The Big Boss II now features the unique Redding “Spent Primer Collection System” used on the T-7 and Ultramag presses.
- “Spent primer collection system” – Spent primers automatically drop through the large diameter hollow ram into a handy flexible plastic tube that can hold hundreds of spent primers before emptying, or be easily routed to your trash container.
- 1” diameter ram
- Heavy duty cast iron frame with 36° offset for easy access and visibility
- Large 4-1/2″ frame opening
- 3-13/16″ of ram stroke for easy reloading of magnum cartridges
- Offset/straight pull ball handle for ease of operation
- “Smart Primer Arm” – automatically swings into position during the ram stroke and flips out of the way when not in use. For maximum sensitivity at the lowest possible leverage, priming is done at the end of the ram stroke.
- Heavy duty compound linkage
- Steel adapter bushing accepts all standard 7/8″-14 threaded dies and is removable for use with oversized dies Frame with bushing removed accepts 1-1/4″ – 12 dies

Primer Arm Assembly Update
Effective January 2020, for the convenience of our customers, all Redding Reloading presses and the optional “Slide Bar Primer Feed System” will be shipped with two primer arm assemblies, one each for both large and small primers. Each assembly will have the large or small primer cup permanently affixed and sealed. This will eliminate all assembly and adjustment that was previously required for a primer size change.
